Tick Tock

clock is ticking.
refrigerator is humming.
these things are constant.
it's like I've been here before.
so many times before.
in this same place.
it is exactly the same.
and also very different.
circular.
yet not.
elliptical perhaps.
the short sides different than the long sides.
but still the loop is closed.
everything repeats.
not at a consistent pace.
but still it repeats.
and here I am again.
