sometimes I wait
for an answer to arrive,
as if it were going to be delivered
by [god]
then I remember,
oh,
I don't believe in [god]
and I think,
this is where people who
do believe in [god]
get off easy
they can [pray] for an answer,
concoct whatever they desire,
say that [god]
told them so
and [!]
all is right in the world

"Some grow dizzy and delirious, others are afraid; they try to find an answer to strengthen their hearts, and they say: 'God!' Others again, from the edge of the leaf, look over the precipice calmly and bravely and say: 'I like it.'" -Zorba the Greek
